Most people are grounded because they do not have thanksgiving.
What do you want to thank God for?
“If you are not grateful and thankful, then you will take God for granted and you will be grounded. “ – Pastor Austyn
Count your blessings one by one. Have that attitude of gratitude. You have to be humble.
God exalts the humble.
Psalm 100:3-5 – 3 Know that Jehovah, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For Jehovah is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.
Jeremiah 1:12 – And Jehovah said to me, You have seen well; for I will watch over My Word to perform it.
Why should we give God thanks?
Psalm 118:28 – You are my God, and I will exalt You; You are my God, I will praise You.
- Thank God for being God – Psalm 150:1 – Praise Jehovah. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the expanse of His power.
- Thank God for the Victory – 1 Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Thank God for answered prayer. – 2 Corinthians 1:11 – with you also helping together by prayer for us, so that the gracious gift by many persons be the cause of thanksgiving through many for us.
Give your thanks giving to God – It Glorifies God. Psalm 50:23 – Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and he who sets a way, I will show him the salvation of God.
Thanksgiving shuts the mouth of your enemies – Psalm 79:13 – Then we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever; we will show forth Your praise to all generations.
