If you want to move into the next level, you must do the following:repentance

  1. You must repent.
  2. You must engage God with praise. Praise is combined with gratitude. If you cannot praise God, than you have an issue  of Pride in your heart.
  3. You must remain humble.
  4. Do not despise the days of small beginnings because in it there is increase.

When we praise God, we celebrate him and His awesomeness. We remember His works which demonstrate His ability. When we appreciate him, we praise him for what He has done. David learned how to praise God and unlocked His divine favour.

Psalm 100:1 – 5 – 1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise to Jehovah, all you lands. 2 Worship Jehovah with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that Jehovah, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For Jehovah is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.

Count your blessings one by one and learn to bring appreciation to God.

Psalm 89: 20-23 – 20 I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him. 21 My hand shall be always with him; My arm also shall make him strong. 22 The enemy shall not use force on him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. 23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.

David received God’s protection not because he was a righteous man, but because he praised God. He recognized God and God protected David.

Psalm 66:1 – 4 – 1 To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth. 2 Sing forth the honor of His name; make His praise glorious. 3 Say to God, How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power, Your enemies pretend obedience to You. 4 All the earth shall worship You, and shall sing to You; they praise Your name. Selah.

If you learn to practice praising God, God will fight for you.

Why should I praise God?  Your destiny is created to praise and worship God.  You were created to make His name glorious.

  • Gratitude brings increase.
  • It takes a humble heart to praise God.
  • Do not covet (be jealous) of your brother or sisters blessings. You have to thankful to God for blessing them so that the Lord can bless you too.

  1. Praise brings benefits

Psalm 103:1-2– A Psalm of David. Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2 Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;

  1. Praise silences satan, your enemies and all those who oppose you

Psalm 8:2 – Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have ordained strength, because of ones vexing You, to cause the enemy and the avenger to cease.

  1. Praise can bring wholeness to your body and brings you justice from the wicked

Psalm 149:6 – 9 – 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 to carry out vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron-bands, 9 to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise Jehovah!

In the story of the 10 lepers in Luke 17 – only one out of the ten came back to praise and thank Jesus for his healing and Jesus not only healed him, but blessed him to be made whole.

Learn to repent and praise God with a heart filled with gratitude.
