Resurrection Sunday

Jesus cannot be explained away.

He is the only one that had the audacity to say that “I am the Way and I am the Truth and I am the life”.

Mark 16:1- 8 – He Is Risen

16 Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. 2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3 And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. 7 But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”

8 So they went out quickly[a] and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

There is a power that is supernatural. The power of resurrection will roll away the stone/the barrier/the limitations over your life.

God will roll away your problems by the power of the resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:12 – 20

The Risen Christ, Our Hope

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

The Last Enemy Destroyed

20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

New King James Version (NKJV)

Our gathering today as a congregation will be meaningless without Christ being raised.

You are coming out of whatever is holding you back.

God is able to raise dead things to life. Dead bones can be raised to life again (Ezekiel 37). Mistakes can be corrected. Your past can be brought back to life to grant you a great future.

Everything is based on your belief system. The calendar is based After the death of Christ in reference to A.D. It does not matter what religion you come from, your birthday is based on the point taken after the death of Christ.  We can rejoice because Christ is Risen.

John 11: 21-45 Lazarus is brought back to life

God is always an on time God.

His timing may seem like the wrong time to you based in your emotions but God is always on time.  Some people may perceive Jesus as a late comer but He is always on time. The question is do you believe?

You need to have Faith and you need to Believe.

With everything, there are 3 points in time.

  1. There is a time of death,
  2. a time to be buried; and
  3. there is also the time to come back to life.

How you achieve the 3rd point in time is based on what you believe.

Do you believe?

Your seemingly dead situation will rise again. All you have to do is have faith and believe.
