Everything on the face of the earth has a cost.
There is a cost for:
- the anointing; and
- the cost of going to the next level
The month of May is a month where you will have to expand
Genesis 32:26 – And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let You go except You bless me.
You need to go to the next level because this is your season to expand.
Isaiah 54:2-4 – 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes.
3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left,
And your descendants will inherit the nations,
And make the desolate cities inhabited.
4 “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed;
Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame;
For you will forget the shame of your youth,
And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
“You need to have a rhetoric that causes you to believe that you need to expand. If you don’t believe it you will not increase.” – Pastor Austyn
Do you want to go to the next level?
There is a price to the next level.
If you are not willing to pay the price to go to the next level, then you will not go to the next level.
There is a price to enjoy the next level.
The farmer has a seed. He has a choice of either eating the seed or sowing that seed. If he chooses to eat that seed, he will not go to the next level, because after he has eaten it, there will be no harvest. It does not come with ease.
“Do not be deceived by the “name it and claim it syndrome”. It’s not in the naming that you receive your blessing; it’s in the price that you are willing to pay to get to the next level.” – Pastor Austyn
Abraham left a legacy. Isaac, Jacob, Abraham were remembered for what? What will you be remembered for?
In your quest to go to the next level, what are you leaving behind?
Genesis 26:18-26 – 18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them.
19 Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there. 20 But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek,[a] because they quarreled with him. 21 Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah.[b] 22 And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth,[c] because he said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
23 Then he went up from there to Beersheba. 24 And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.” 25 So he built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord, and he pitched his tent there; and there Isaac’s servants dug a well.
26 Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phichol the commander of his army.
The Meaning of the 3 wells:
- Esek – the well of “Contention” (Genesis 26:20)
Your next level will be contended with. There will be a fight with your friend or foe for your expansion. Something will be there to stop you from going to the next level. Isaac understood this and did not back down. There is a grace that comes upon you when you seek to pursue the next level. People will frustrate, malign you, be jealous of you and will fight you, but you have to persevere. You have to pray a price for the next level. Jesus paid the price – he was bruised, humiliated, tortured and killed to set you free. Are you willing to contend for your blessing?
- Sitnah – the well of “Opposition” (Genesis 26:21)
You will face opposition. You have to forget those things that are behind you and press forward towards the goal to the upward call of Jesus Christ in your life. There is something inside of you that says that “you refuse to remain the same”.
- Rehoboth – the well of “Broad Places” (Genesis 26:22)
You will make room for your enlargement. Enlarge your thinking, and thing big. As a man thinketh in their heart, so is he. (Isaiah 54:2). Do not withdrawal, do not give up. Have this “I can do it mentality”.
The most difficult race to run is the race of the believer. You must put in the work for your blessings and believe God, and have the faith to work out what you believe.
Genesis 32:26 – And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
You may have to fight all night for your destiny (through prayer). You shouldn’t let God go until He blesses you. You will find a “kind” that you will have to fight for this kind does not go except through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29).
During this Fast, when others are eating you will say no, you want to remain focused. It’s a cost. When others are tired of praying you say no, because you will pray.
When you sow in tears, you will reap in joy. You have to be tenacious. You should not quit.
The cost of the anointing, and the cost of unbelief.
What are you willing to pay?
Christianity is a fight.
Jabez sought to enlarge his territory. He prayed to God and received increase. Jabez was a mockery to others but when he sought God, he received his breakthrough and received blessings that overtook his expectations.
There is a difference between being free, and being free indeed. You can be enslaved and be set free but still have a slave mentality. When you are free indeed, you receive your breakthrough and increase. You receive results when you are free indeed and no longer carry the slave mentality. You will see no limits and break barriers.
1 Chronicles 4:10 – And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.
When you increase, there are certain things and people that you must let go. The next level is not for everybody. It is for those who are committed and determined to pay the price.
1 Corinthians 13:11 – When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, It t I put away childish things.
The next level means you must let go of certain things. It takes time to get results. When you work out your faith, it carries results. Christianity is a way of life.
The 2 keys to going to the next level are:
- Obedience to Instruction
Genesis 26:2-5 – 2 Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”
- Taking Action
Genesis 26:12 – Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him.
“The instructions you are willing to obey, will determine the miracle you are willing to receive.” – Pastor Austyn.
The next level comes with instructions and obedience.
- You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
- You must have that belief and mentality that you may be challenged, but you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
- Believe in the next level. The month of May is your month of the next level.
- God is not a man that He will lie to you, nor is he the son of Man that he should repent. That which He said, is what He will do.
God will make room for you as your persevere against the opposition (Genesis 26:21-22).
“The desire of the next level must outweigh the pain of going to the next level.” – Pastor Austyn
