Think Big: The Battle of the Mind

If your mind cannot contain enlargement, then you can’t accept enlargement. The fight for prosperity begins with your mind.

3 John 3:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as you soul prospers.

Your “soul” is your “mind, will and emotions”.

“You cannot go beyond what your mind cannot take. You cannot rise above what you do not know” – Pastor Austyn

Proverbs 23:7 – For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

Isaiah 54:2 –  Make the place of your tent larger, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes;

It is the desire of God that you be prosperous. The man Isaac (in the Bible) began to prosper continuously.

Ask God for the grace of continuous prosperity. Can your mind handle the enlargement?

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Do not have a defeatist mentality. You will continue to believe until you see results.

God in His heart wants to see you succeed.

Joshua 1:1-3, 8 1 And it happened after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, Jehovah spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, 2 My servant Moses is dead. Now, therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people to the land which I give to them, to the sons of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, I have given that to you, as I said to Moses.

8 This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall act wisely.

Enlargement is a continuous journey. Joshua’s mind had to be reprogrammed after God told him that His servant Moses was dead because now God wanted to use Joshua for a great destiny.

You need to rise above that level where God makes you the Head and you believe it so that you can extract the goodness, the favour and enlargement.

If you have the mindset that you possess the increase, you can receive it. It’s your responsibility to work on pursuing prosperity.

You must love the Word of God (The Bible). If you want to enjoy unhindered prosperity, you must love this book called the Bible.

Proverbs 4:1-2 1 Sons, hear the instruction of a father, and listen in order to know understanding. 2 For I give you good teaching; do not forsake my law.

Proverbs 4:21 -23 21 Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, and health to all his flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Spiritual warfare

If you believe God’s Word, it will become your reality.

Whose report shall you believe? You shall believe in the report of the Lord.

What is programming your mind? Is it the Word of God or the philosophies of this world?

Guard your mind with the Word of God.

“There are churches that lose its power when it’s all about political correctness rather than spiritual correctness.” – Pastor Austyn

You have to be persuaded by the Word of God.

Philippians 3:13 – My brothers, I do not count myself to have taken possession, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before,

Until you change your mindset, certain things will not come to you until you do. Until your mind is transformed, you cannot go to the next level. It is indeed a battle field that you must fight the good fight of faith in your mind. Meditate on the Word and observe to do what is written.

Faith without actions is dead.

You observe what is written and then do what it says you should do.

James 2:18-24– 18 But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works. 19 You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble. 20 But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Do you see how faith worked with his works, and from the works faith was made complete? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God.” 24 You see then how a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

Why are believers not acting on what they believe? It is because they do not do the work that is required of Faith to move to the next level.

You must be willing to re-position yourself to become relevant. If you don’t believe in relevancy than you cannot increase and become relevant. There is no spiritual substitute for life and skills.

Abraham was justified by works. It takes action to get results. Your actions will also expose to you who your enemies are in order to function strategically in the course of your life.

There are Christians who have faith and can look at someone and believe for their healing and deliverance, but when it comes to money and finances, they don’t have the faith in that area because it requires “WORK”.

Think Big and don’t think small. Peter acted in faith when Jesus told him to cast his net back in the water despite the fact that he was an experienced fisherman. But because he believed in the Word of Jesus to throw his net back in once again after trying so many times before, he obtained increase.

“Faith + Work is equal to results” – Pastor Austyn

The Cost of Enlargement

You will have people that will fight you.

Isaiah 54:2-3 – “Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes;

Stop thinking Small. Get away from the small-minded mentality.

Proverbs 23:7 – For as He thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

Don’t think small. If you want be a millionaire you have to think like a millionaire. You cannot think small in order to achieve greatness. Think big and represent yourself in a large way.

As you think, so you will become. You will take bigger risks if you think big.

Those that purpose enlargement in their lives, they do not think small.

Some people may think you are arrogant for thinking big, but you are just confident about where you are going.

Stop thinking small! Just because the people around you think small, doesn’t mean you have to think the same way as well.

1 Chronicles 4:10 – And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

tumblr_lxh1nbPzfS1r0j9r8o1_500.gifDon’t think Small, Don’t box your mind, don’t box God. Become unlimited. Be a barrier breaker rather than a caged person.

A person who can’t see where you’re going will have issues with you. Don’t let them stop you from pursuing greatness.

Relationships matter when you want to enlarge. Don’t surround yourself with small minded people.

1 Corinthians 15:33 – Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

If you have negative people around you, sooner or later you will exhibit the same bad tendencies.

You will be stretched, but you should not quit. You will defy the odds of wanting to quit.

Poverty creeps in when your sleeping, slothful and lazy.

…Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes – this is all about your foundation.

You have to have a strong foundation. Solidify yourself, so that in times of crisis you will stand strong. When a tent is not staked deep into the ground, it can be blown away by a strong wind.

As a believer you need to strengthen your stakes so that you will not be shaken. Anchor yourself to the the Word of God as your foundation.

Psalm 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?

Strengthen your foundation.  It’s the foundation that carries you, you don’t carry the foundation.

Your Foundation is found in Christ Jesus.

How Do We Pray? – Pastor Monica

tshirt_design_our_fatherThere is a difference between power and authority.

Power comes with position; however, the position does not hold the authority.

Authority comes from the people you oversee who accept you as a leader.

There is no point in knowing so much of the Word if you don’t know how to apply it.

Study to show yourself approved. Don’t just study the Word.

Ask yourself how do you apply what it is that you have learned?

When you have options (especially in North America), your level or understanding about prayer becomes “optional” meaning that you will not see prayer as a requirement and will pray whenever you “feel” like it.

As Christians, it is important to know that Prayer is a requirement and if we place it as optional, you will be disappointed when you don’t get the results you were expecting from your prayers. Prayer is your communication line with God.

Matthew 6:1 – “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Charitable works are based on the intention of the heart.

Why are you giving what you give?

When we serve him, God wants us to check out intentions. Everything that you do in church is charitable. The church should not be treated as a buffet.

What do we do with the Word that we get?

When Solomon gave 1000 cows as sacrifice it was his form of worship unto God.

Do not let your blessing pass you by because you are focusing too much on your limitations.

  • God does not call qualified people, He qualifies the called.
  • Do not compare yourself to someone else.
  • Everything about you is completely unique.
  • Go where God wants you to go.
  • Jesus is dealing with the intentions of the heart.
  • Pray unto God and not to be seen by men.

The woman with the issue of blood was in a closet and she crawled on the ground all the way to Jesus just to touch the hem of his garment. She pulled virtue from Jesus. God rewarded her for her faith.

prayer-hands.jpgWe should not practice repetitious prayers.

If an earthly parent can get annoyed if their child asks for the same thing over and over, why do we think that we can be this way to our heavenly father?

Jesus is talking about the intentions of our heart.

People always stop at the daily bread part of the Our Father prayer but people forget to keep God’s name holy.

When you are opening your mouth to pray, check yourself.

Do you keep His name Holy?

As Christians we have to behave in such a way to keep His name holy.

Forgive us as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Forgiveness is not a feeling. However, do you believe?

1 Corinthians 13:1 – Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass of a clanging cymbal.

We need to forgive. Forgiveness releases us from bitterness.

Hebrews 4:10 – Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

If you don’t forgive, God will not forgive you.

How can you obtain mercy if you do not extend mercy?

“Bitterness is sickness to the Bones” – Pastor Monica

Do not keep score of every offense.

Your Dream Will Not Die

No one can steal your dream.

“The anointing you respect is the anointing you will receive” – Pastor Austyn

What you believe, is what you will attract. Those that mocked you will celebrate you.

Mark 9:23 –  Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

Matthew 21:1-10 – 1  And when they drew near Jerusalem, and had come to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, Go into the village across from you. And immediately you will find an ass tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to Me. 3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord has need of them, and immediately He will send them. 4 All this was done so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5 “Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes to you, meek, and sitting on an ass, even a colt the foal of an ass.” 6 And the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. 7 And they brought the ass, even the colt, and put their clothes on them, and He sat on them. 8 And a very great crowd spread their garments in the way. Others cut down branches from the trees and spread them in the way. 9  And the crowds who went before, and those who followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest! 10 And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

Nobody can kill your dream. Whatever you speak into existence will voice activate what God will manifest.

God-given dreams are what God will establish. In His word God states that He will establish your plans when you commit to the Lord whatever it is that you do.

Proverbs 16:3 – Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

God’s power can locate you and re-locate you to where He wants you to be. You have to make Jesus the centre of it all.

Joseph had a dream that he would rule over his family. People may not be happy about the dream God gives you. They may even hate you for that dream; however, nothing can stop that God-given dream from being established.

3765064758_15cdccdaa8Many people will ask “How can this happen?” “How can this be possible?”

Your testimony will be that “With God all things are possible!”

Jesus re-enacted the life that you have today. Jesus acted out what was quoted in the scriptures that He would die and three days later, would resurrect back to life again.

Everything you do is based on action. What actions are you taking?

You will have haters and they are dream killers, however you must continue to work your faith. You may struggle with your dream, but you have to continue to act on the dream.

People are good at quoting scriptures, but do you live the scriptures?” – Pastor Austyn.

You will face challenges, but if you live in a place of continuous and perpetual challenges, then there is something wrong.

Genesis 37:5 – 36The Story of Joseph

Joseph’s dream was not activated until Joseph spoke his dream out. It may cause a stir of turmoil in your life when you speak out your dream(s), and people might hate you for that dream, but that dream cannot be established until you voice it out.

God said, “Let there be….” in Genesis, and whatever He said, was and became a reality.

“Your dream must be activated by you speaking it with your voice” – Pastor Austyn.

Psalm 1:1 – Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.

“Your dream will always attract people to you and it will also attract haters” – Pastor Austyn

Psalm 23:5 – You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

Galations 6:7 – Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Your network determines your net-worth because people tend to follow others based on actions

God is faithful to you, ask yourself, are you faithful to God?

Here is a song by Kari Jobe called Forever. We pray that this song blesses your spirit today. God Bless You.

Transition to Elevation – by Minister Sherline

When you look into the Bible, there are many situations where you encounter people that experienced a “Transition into Elevation”.

What is the meaning of Transition?

It is a movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another; change: the transition from adolescence to adulthood.

 What is to Elevate?

  1. to move or raise to a higher place or position; lift up.
  2. to raise to a higher state, rank, or office; exalt; promote:

to elevate an archbishop to cardinal.

  1. to raise to a higher intellectual or spiritual level.

The examples that I can think of are:

  • From Shepherd to King – David – 1 Samuel 16: 1-13 (Read this whole)
  • From Prisoner to Leader – Joseph – Genesis 41
  • From Slave to Free – The children of Israel – Exodus 14
  • From Barren to Fruitful – Hannah, Prophet Samuel’s Mother – 1 Samuel 1
  • From Cursed to Blessed – Jabez- Enlarged my territory and bless me indeed – 1 Chronicles 4:10
  • From Enemy to Follower – Saul to Paul – Acts 9
  • From Sickness to Wholeness – The woman with the issue of blood – Matthew 9:20-22
  • From Death to Life – Jesus – Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke 24

downloadSometimes, transitions into elevation seem to be anti-climactic, because as Steven Furtick said (Head Pastor of Elevation Church) in his New Year’s 2016 sermon, we are typically building anticipation for the event, but once the event happens, we tend to feel no different and yet we’ve elevated.

We’ve risen to a new level, we’ve reached a new height, we moved from point A to point B.

I wrote a blog post entitled It’s PA time with GOD, how did you measure up?” and in that blog I talked about how God measures our performance. If you have a job, you know that you’ll go through a Performance Appraisal.

A follower of my blog asked a question:

She asked me “How do you know when you have been shifted by God to a new level?”

2b4af4f9ac202d785cf3346f824b928aThere are signs everywhere that you have shifted but at the same time the transition may also feel very anti-climactic, meaning that it will feel like as if nothing has happened and yet you’ve moved into a different level. I’ll give you an example, it’s like graduating from high school or college, your excitement will be in the anticipation of that transition from student to graduate, but after the graduation party, you’ll feel no less different and yet you’ve transitioned from being a student to a graduate. You’ve moved up and yet you will feel nothing different because transitions are not based on “feelings”, they’re based on where God wants you to go. So there will be signs that you’ve moved to another level, i.e. your associations/friends/peers may change their attitude about you, new people will enter into your life, new doors start opening for you that didn’t in the last season. With every level, there are new things that happen that didn’t occur in your previous season. That’s why when God elevates you through the Word of His Mouth (be it from a prophet, preacher, minister etc), it is already done. You may not feel like anything happened but think of David, he was a shepherd boy and after he was anointed by the prophet Samuel, he was immediately transitioned into becoming a King but it took him a while from hiding from Saul to take up the throne. So even though it seems like nothing has happened, the signs were around David in that the moment he was anointed, his friendly relationship with Saul became one as an enemy overnight. Your friends/family/peers will change their attitude about you when God elevates you to the next level. I hope what I’m saying makes sense. Yes, it will feel lonely, but David went through that as well in the Bible, so just understand that when you act in obedience, there is a reward for your obedience. So understand that the shift you experienced was meant to happen. If you are moved by the Spirit of God, you will do things that will change your status as you continue to act in obedience. Transitions have nothing to do with feelings, they have everything to do with where God wants to take you.

shutterstock_180085994-300x175Man has a standard of evaluations, and so does God. Man’s standard has a series of criteria, and so does God.

However, the way in which God evaluates us is by using this one criterion. Can you imagine that His evaluation is simply based on this one aspect of our life and that is that He evaluates us by our Heart?

Why does God evaluate us through our Heart?

Here are some of the reasons that He evaluates us using our Heart. Take note that this is not an exhaustive list:

  1. Your Heart has a voice:

Luke 6:45

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

  1. Your Heart reveals the issues you have in your life:

Proverbs 4:23

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

  1. Your Heart can be hardened like stone and it can also be softened into flesh:

 Ezekiel 36:26

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

  1. Your Heart reveals what you desire:

 Matthew 6:21

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Deuteronomy 14:26

And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.

  1. You think through your Heart:

Proverbs 23:7

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

  1. Your Heart can be stirred to move by God’s will:

Exodus 35:21-22

21 Then everyone came whose heart was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willingand they brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.22 They came, both men and women, as many as had a willing heartand brought earrings and nose rings, rings and necklaces, all jewelry of gold, that is, every man who made an offering of gold to the Lord.

  1. Your Heart can be stirred by Wisdom to give:

Exodus 36:1-3

8e41428c9d50a1cebce4ba466c3eff9236 “And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the Lord has commanded.”

The People Give More than Enough

Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work. And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.

  1. Your Heart harbours all your emotions:

Such as Discouragement, Fear, Love, Hate, Courage etc etc

  1. Your Heart either holds on to the Truth or holds onto a pack of Lies:

1 Kings 3:6

heartAnd Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

Psalm 15:2

He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart;

James 3:14

But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.

  1. Your Heart will always be tested by the Lord:

 Deuteronomy 8:2

And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

  1. Your Heart can be deceived or you can be deceitful in your own Heart:

 Deuteronomy 11:16

“Take heed to yourselves, lest your heartbe deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,

Proverbs 17:20

He who has a deceitful heart finds no good, And he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.

Jeremiah 17:9

“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

  1. Your Heart reveals your loyalties:

1 Kings 8:61

Let your heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”

In Conclusion:

The Lord searches all Hearts:

 1 Chronicles 28:9

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Jesus knocks at the door of our Hearts and therefore knows our intentions. We cannot fool God when the Word is what He uses to measure where we stand.

 Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Here is a Song from Hillsongs United called Here Now to minister to your Spirit as you reflect on renewing a right spirit in your heart to make your Heart become like flesh to hear and feel the heart of the Father who is God.

God, Money and You – Pt. 2

God is interested in your prosperity. God is saying “I am wishing you the best”

The Hebrew word for Money is Keceph which means “value”

What is your perception of Money?

Many people say that “money is evil”, but it is the “love of money” that is evil.

Money is good, but it’s your relationship with money that determines whether it is good or evil to you.

1 Timothy 6:10 – For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Some people who “love” money will say things like “I will do anything for money”. That type of thinking is out of order. If you can do anything for money, does that mean you will even kill for it?

What is your relationship with money?

You cannot serve two masters. You either love one or hate the other.

Ecclesiastes 10:19 – A feast is made for laughter, And wine makes merry; But money answers everything.

Money talks in many forms:

When you become rich, the way you talk will change, the way you walk will change, including all your associations will change. The same bank that told you “you have bad credit” will call you to offer you many deals because you now have this thing called “money”.

As a Christian, you must Hate poverty with a passion.

“Ýou only attract what you appreciate.” – Pastor Austyn

If you don’t appreciate wealth, then it won’t come to you so you have to change your mindset.

Ecclesiastes 7:12 – For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

What can Money do for you?

  • Money is a defense from every attack of the enemy.
    • It defends you from lack and want. It protects you from poverty.

“If you are not smart with money, it will not be smart for you” – Pastor Austyn

How you get money is important. If you get it by evil means, then you are in “love with money”. But if you work hard to obtain it by honest means, you respect it and you respect the source who is God that provides for you to be able to obtain the things you desire.

  • If you lack respect for money when you receive it, you will lose it.
    • You will not undermine, or abuse it when you respect money for what it can do for you. It answers all things, but you have to respect it so that it can defend you.

Build a relationship of “mutual respect” with money.

Some people who abuse the money they have don’t seem to understand that the little that they have, it shall be taken away from them. If you have no respect for money, you won’t be able to keep it. You must value the money that you have and be smart with it. When you have it, what you do with it matters.

Meditate on this word day and night and figure out what money is to you.

If your perception about money is right, then you will operate on a strong foundation regarding money.

Don’t love money to the point that you do something stupid with it.

Some people may reject you, but when you have money, you’ll find that they all of a sudden will accept you. Those that laughed at you will celebrate you.

Money speaks for you so pray to God to change your perception of money.

Money is good, because it answers all things. However, do not love money, for the love of money corrupts a person’s soul. Rather, give thanks to the Provider of the money that you have. God is the one who provided it for you so respect the giver, and remember that the money you receive is so that you can be blessed to be a blessing.

Proverbs 23:7 – For as he thinks in his heart, so is hi. “Eat and drink!” he says to you , But his heart is not with you.

Unlocking Your Blessings with Repentance and Praise – November 15, 2015

Matthew 19:26 – But Jesus looked on them and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Luke 5:37 – And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. Else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskin will perish.

Romans 6:1 – 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound?

2 Chronicles 7:14 – 15 – 14 if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now My eyes shall be open, and My ears shall be open to the prayer of this place.

If you want to move into the next level, you must do the following:repentance

  1. You must repent.
  2. You must engage God with praise. Praise is combined with gratitude. If you cannot praise God, than you have an issue  of Pride in your heart.
  3. You must remain humble.
  4. Do not despise the days of small beginnings because in it there is increase.

When we praise God, we celebrate him and His awesomeness. We remember His works which demonstrate His ability. When we appreciate him, we praise him for what He has done. David learned how to praise God and unlocked His divine favour.

Psalm 100:1 – 5 – 1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise to Jehovah, all you lands. 2 Worship Jehovah with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that Jehovah, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For Jehovah is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.

Count your blessings one by one and learn to bring appreciation to God.

Psalm 89: 20-23 – 20 I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him. 21 My hand shall be always with him; My arm also shall make him strong. 22 The enemy shall not use force on him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. 23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.

David received God’s protection not because he was a righteous man, but because he praised God. He recognized God and God protected David.

Psalm 66:1 – 4 – 1 To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth. 2 Sing forth the honor of His name; make His praise glorious. 3 Say to God, How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power, Your enemies pretend obedience to You. 4 All the earth shall worship You, and shall sing to You; they praise Your name. Selah.

If you learn to practice praising God, God will fight for you.

Why should I praise God?  Your destiny is created to praise and worship God.  You were created to make His name glorious.

  • Gratitude brings increase.
  • It takes a humble heart to praise God.
  • Do not covet (be jealous) of your brother or sisters blessings. You have to thankful to God for blessing them so that the Lord can bless you too.

  1. Praise brings benefits

Psalm 68:19 – Blessed is Jehovah; He daily bears burdens for us, the God of our salvation. Selah.

Psalm 103:1-2– A Psalm of David. Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2 Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;

  1. Praise silences satan, your enemies and all those who oppose you

Psalm 8:2 – Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have ordained strength, because of ones vexing You, to cause the enemy and the avenger to cease.

  1. Praise can bring wholeness to your body and brings you justice from the wicked

Psalm 149:6 – 9 – 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 to carry out vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron-bands, 9 to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise Jehovah!

In the story of the 10 lepers in Luke 17 – only one out of the ten came back to praise and thank Jesus for his healing and Jesus not only healed him, but blessed him to be made whole.

Learn to repent and praise God with a heart filled with gratitude.

Here is a song from Kierra Sheard called Free. May this song bless your spirit today in Jesus name.

Dealing with the other “Twin” called “self”

Every person has a “twin” inside of them; one carries the agenda of God and the other “twin” carries the agenda of the devil; that twin is called “self”.A-man-without-self-control-is-like-a-city-broken-into-and-left

It torments you to believe that things are impossible for you. The question is whose report shall you believe?

You have to have control over your “self” and not allow yourself to be overcome by doubts.

The self that listens to words of doubt, confusion and fear lacks self-control.

Romans 7:15-20 – 15 For that which I do, I know not. For what I desire, that I do not do; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If then I do that which I do not desire, I consent to the law that it is good. 17 But now it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing. For to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I do not find. 19 For I do not do the good that I desire; but the evil which I do not will, that I do. 20 But if I do what I do not desire, it is no more I working it out, but sin dwelling in me.

Self will always give you a reason to NOT do things. Until you understand that God is working inside of you, you will always operate in the “self”. Self always operates with pride, arrogance and fear, but if you humble your “self” to listen to the Word of God and do what it says, you will operate in the realm of Faith.

“Self” may tell you through the voice of fear: “You can’t succeed”, “You can’t do this”, “You don’t have the ability”, “Who do you think you are?” etc.

The greatest enemy is your “Self”. Take control over it and develop self-control. Remember that the Self is a manipulator and tormentor that discourages you from believing what God says about you. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the World. If your self doesn’t know that, then you have to remind yourself what the Word of God says about you.

Matthew 19:26 – But Jesus looked on them and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

You have to believe that ALL things are possible.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7)

What is your confession? How do you see yourself?

Some people will confess negative in your life, but you have to believe in the Word of the Lord.

Romans 12:2 – And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Mark 9:23 – Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

“Many people use the Word of God to manipulate it to fit their situation; rather you should align with God’s Word since He watches His Word to perform it.” – Pastor Austyn.

Daniel 11:32 – Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

The things that you do not see controls the things that you do see.

Hebrews 11:1 – Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

If God is for you, who can be against you?

The only person limiting you is YOU.

What can you do to deal with the self?:

  1. The Word of God – Know it and mediate on the Word – Sharpen yourself with the Word.

Joshua 1:8 – This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall act wisely.

  1. Prayer

1 John 4:16 – 18 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

The God Factor: All Things are Possible – October 25, 2015

Matthew 19:24-26 – 24 And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When His disciples heard, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus looked on them and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

All things are possible when you believe. with_god_all_things_r_possible_by_allyx_sway-d413yvr

  • With man, it is impossible, but when you align with God, all things are possible.
  • There is something inside of you that is able to do the impossible because God lives inside of you.

1 John 5:4 – For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.

  • You do not follow man’s standard, you must follow Gods standard.

Isaiah 40:28 – 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow weak nor weary? There is no searching of His understanding. 29 He gives power to the weary; and to him with no vigor; He increases strength. 30 Even the young shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall; 31 but those who wait on Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

There is an ability inside of you to do exploits.

You can embrace possibilities. There is no condition to loving you, because God has AGAPE love for you. He wants to position you for blessings. It may not be easy for the ordinary man to conceive this, but with God, all things are possible and He wants to make them possible for you.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

“If God is in the equation, the problem is solved” – Pastor Austyn

Everything you lay your hands to do, you shall prosper just like it says in Jeremiah 29:11.

What is your expectation?

“The only thing that can stop you is self. Talk to yourself” – Pastor Austyn.

Some people have dual personalities. They act one way on the outside and act another way behind closed doors. Those with such personalities must deal with their real self so that they can come to one consistent character.

Faith and Doubt don’t go together. You must believe that all things are possible through God in order to receive what God has for you.

Without Faith, it is impossible please God; therefore, you must believe that nothing is impossible for you.

It is in the Atmosphere of Faith that you can change your belief system. May this song by Kevin Levar called Atmosphere of Faith bless your spirit today.

Being Relentless – Rehoboth – Oct. 18, 2015

“Every man that quits never wins” – Pastor Austyn

In the face of challenges, do not give up and remain relentless.

Isaac experienced a number of disputes about the wells he dug but he did not allow the disputes from receiving his prized well.

Genesis 26:1-26 – 1 And there was a famine in the land, besides the famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines to Gerar. 2 And Jehovah appeared to him and said, Do not go down into Egypt. Live in the land which I shall tell you of. 3 Reside in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. For to you and to your seed I will give all these lands; and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your seed all these lands. And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My Laws. 6 And Isaac lived in Gerar. 7 And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, She is my sister. For he feared to say, My wife; lest the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah, because she was beautiful of form. 8 And when he had been there a long time, it happened that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out through the window, and saw; and behold! Isaac was caressing Rebekah his wife. 9 And Abimelech called Isaac and said, Behold! She surely is your wife. And why did you say, She is my sister? And Isaac said to him, Because I said, Lest I die on account of her. 10 And Abimelech said, What is this you have done to us? One of the people might have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us. 11 And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death. 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold. And Jehovah blessed him. 13 And the man became great. And he went forward and grew until he grew very great. 14 And he had possession of flocks and possession of herds, and many servants. And the Philistines envied him. 15 For all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them and filled them with earth. 16 And Abimelech said to Isaac, Go away from us, for you are mightier than we are.17 And Isaac departed from there, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and lived there. 18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham. And he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. 19 And Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found there a well of flowing water. 20 And the herdsmen of Gerar strove with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, The water is ours. And he called the name of the well Contention, because they strove with him. 21 And they dug another well, and they strove for that also. And he called the name of it Opposition. 22 And he moved from there, and dug another well, and they did not strive for that. And he called the name of it Broad Places. And he said, For now Jehovah has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. 23 And he went from there to Beer-sheba. 24 And Jehovah appeared to him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham your father. Do not fear, for I am with you, and will bless you and multiply your seed for My servant Abraham’s sake. 25 And he built an altar there, and called upon the name of Jehovah, and pitched his tent there. And Isaac’s servants dug a well there. 26 And he built an altar there, and called upon the name of Jehovah, and pitched his tent there. And Isaac’s servants dug a well there.

How do you be relentless is the face of challenges?

  • The Instructions you are willing to obey, will determine the miracle that you will receive.
  • It does not matter how many people are against you. They do not determine your success.
  • You haven’t got the time to manage stress since you are too blessed to be stressed. Rather spend your time managing your blessings.
  • You must think of promotion, expansion, increase and focus on the goal. Do not be distracted from heading towards your success.
  • “Champions are not born, they are made” – Pastor Austyn
  • You must decide what you are made of. Motivate yourself and believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
  • “Before you head into the battle, you are already a winner” – Pastor Austyn
  • Do not give up on your desire. Though the vision may tarry, wait for it until you have accomplished it.
  • Do not be complacent and remain creative to build on ideas to increase your wealth and value.
  • People may mock you, but you have to be tenacious and fight to succeed because that is who you are; Successful.
  • Be positive-minded and do not give into pressure.
  • Remember that you were designed to be successful.

“If God never fails, then you are not programmed to be a failure” – Pastor Austyn

People will want to associate with relentless people rather than passive people.

Isaiah 54:2 – Make the place of your tent larger, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes;

Enlarge your territory, pursue progress and increase in all areas of your life.

Inside of you is greatness. When you are blessed, your enemies will want to fight with you, but you have to refuse to complain and believe that God is on your side.

Be like Isaac, and dig those wells again until you find that well of success.

2 Timothy 2:20 – But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.

Embrace God and he will make you Great.

Here is a song by Mary Mary called Never Wave My Flag. Don’t wave your flag of defeat when God has made you a winner. May this song bless your spirit today.
